Momence Gladiolus Festival

The first Gladiolus Festival dates back to 1938, and in 1939 an association was formed, which is still in existence today.  Eighty six years later, the “Glad Fest” stands strong as an important part of our community.  Yes, it is not the same, gladioli are not as prevalent in the area as they once were and the big drum corps moved onto D.C.I. Nationals.  But instead of conceding to those losses, the Festival Association works very hard to sustain and improve the Gladiolus Festival each year.

Fundraising is an important part of keeping the tradition alive and we’ve got a fun way for you to help!

Glad Fest 31 Day Raffle

$10,000 (plus $1,000 Early Bird*) will be awarded over 31 days during October 2023

Prizes will be paid according to the following schedule:

(1) October 1^st $1,500;

(4) Fridays $500;

(26) Saturdays through Thursdays $250

$20 per ticket.  Only 1000 tickets will be sold.

Drawings will be held during the month of October 2023. Raffle winners will be based on the Illinois Lottery’s midday drawing (new time for 2023 raffle) of the Pick 3 Daily Game.  Fireballs will be excluded for the Glad Fest Raffle. Drawing results can be found at www.illinoislottery.com. Winning numbers will be posted daily on the Momence Gladiolus Festival Association’s Facebook page.  Checks will be mailed on Mondays to winners drawn during the previous week (Sunday to Saturday).  If the raffle ticket matching the daily 3-digit number has not been sold, then a drawing from the pool of sold raffle ticket stubs will take place the same evening and that ticket will win the daily prize.  Raffle numbers may win multiple times.

*EARLY BIRD DRAWING – Saturday, August 12, 2023

Two $500 winners will be drawn at random from all stubs sold to date.  The drawing will be held at 10 p.m. at the River Street Stage.  Early Bird winners will remain in the Glad Fest 31 Day Raffle
